On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app. Sign in to your Google Account. Tap and hold a photo or video you want to move to the trash. You can select multiple items. You can uninstall the "Google Photos Backup" from your device or simply sign out from the account in the Photos app. Then go to the web-version of Google Photos (photos.google.com) and delete the photos. Go to photos.google.com and login using the Google account you're using on your device. Place your cursor over items you want to move to trash.

Keep in mind that it is possible to delete the photos of all your synchronized devices (those stored in the terminals), so it is best that you know how to download a copy of the photos of Google Photos before deleting them and keep it in the pc. On iOS, deleting photos from Apple's Photos.app will not affect photos uploaded via Google Photos Backup & Sync. With back up & sync turned on, you can delete local copies from your mobile device but keep cloud copies saved in your Google Photos library.
